Huh? how did it become mid-October? Time passes so fast.
With summer far behind and the first rains already dripping, I have many new plans coming. One of them causes me thrills of excitements mixed with a zest of anxiety.
My husband and I have been thinking about it for a long time. Since we both have jobs that don’t require a specific location, we wanted to go back to Japan, rent a place in Tokyo for a couple of months and work from there. This way we can enjoy our oh so beloved Japanese vibe and combine work with and travel.
We thought of doing it once it gets warmer, and on the following year it seems very doable.
I started a new job doing some online translations, which allows me to get more income from wherever there’s internet. Together with my stock illustrations, I have no need for another job and can go wherever I want. My husband, a freelance programmer, has the same freedom.
You can probably guess why the thrills of excitement, but why the anxiety? Several reasons:
1. Anxiety is my default reaction to pretty much everything.
2. I am worried that I won’t be able to concentrate on my work when all those interesting things are right outside our window.
3. I will have to be away from this:
True, a couple of months is not that long, but I get nervous even by a trip of two weeks.
Anyway, right now we are just planning and discussing, and I will know better what are plans are later on.
If you had the option to live your life for 3 months in another country, where would it be?
Dream far 🙂
