A Facebook-friend of mine recently moved to the US with her 2-year-old daughter. One of her first posts from the States was about the lunch menu at her child’s daycare. She was shocked to see that no vegetables were included in the daily meals.
No vegetables? Alas! How can one enjoy life without these colorful, refreshing, nurturing gems of Nature??
You might have heard that the Mediterranean diet is considered a very healthy one. Specialist often recommend to adopt it instead of the American diet.
I honestly can’t say much about the American eating habits, because I don’t live there, but I do know that in Israel the Mediterranean diet rules. Vegetables, legumes, whole grains, the day won’t be a day without them! These regulations are part of the program for developing healthy eating habits for children.
But what happens if your kids got so used to not eating vegetables, that you no longer know how to make them eat their greens? I have some delicious ideas for you. Being a vegetable advocate and an illustrator, I present to you my colorful cheat sheet for making your kids eat vegetables without even realizing it. These tricks don’t require new habits or change of lifestyle!
