Haven’t the Jewish people suffered enough?
Not only did they have to walk through the desert for 40 years before reaching the promised land, now they have to walk through the Passover Seder and read the Haggadah before reaching the promised dinner.
When I was a kid, the traditional Passover Seder was a struggle. It was ridiculously long, and reading the whole Haggadah took a few decades (I felt). It wasn’t rare for me and other kids to fall asleep in our chairs and have the parents evacuated us like wounded.
Luckily I had some siblings and cousins to giggle with before the drop out, but that wasn’t enough to change my thoughts about the Seder: it is harsh on young souls.
To soften the blow for Jewish kids around the world, I recommend keeping some quiet entertainment at the Seder table. Here is my contribution: Printable Passover coloring pages.
