Fall has finally rolled in with its cozy vibes, and I’ve got the perfect little project to get us all in the right mood. Check out this free printable fall craft – it’s a fusion of a fall coloring page and a handy DIY printable gift box.
You know I need to have cuteness in everything, and this fall craft is no exception. The free printable box template has the cutest fall doodles, from autumn leaves and pumpkins to acorns, plus a few woodland animals – a fox, a hedgehog, and a pop-up squirrel that stands on the box’s top! You never know when you’ll need squirrel craft, but when you do, you’ll know where to find one.
Many of the illustrations on this paper box are derived from my Fall Clipart Set and Thanksgiving clipart set, which are available in my Etsy shop. If you are in need for colorful, adorable and eye-catching graphics for your creative projects, you might wanna check these out. All the graphics in the sets come as PNG, SVG and EPS files, and you can use them for both personal and small commercial purposes.
Color and make your printable fall box
Making this autumn themed printable gift box is really easy. All you have to do is print out the free box template, have some fun with coloring, and then cut, fold and glue the box as shown in the instructions. It’s simple enough for young kids to make, and the result is so adorable. A sweet addition to your stash of fall activities!
What you’ll need:
- This printable fall box template
- Cardstock for printers
- Coloring tools
- Scissors
- Glue
Steps:
1. Print out the fall printable box template on white cardstock that fits your printer.
2. Color the parts.
3. Cut out the box template and the two parts of the squirrel.
4. Fold the box template along the dashed lines. Fold the flaps of the squirrels as shown in the picture.
(Tip: it’s easier to fold after scoring. To score, place a ruler along the dashed line and trace the line with the dull edge of a butter knife to create a soft crease).
5. Apply glue on the tabs that say “GLUE TABS”. Glue the flaps to assemble the box.
6. Glue the squirrel parts to each other, back-to-back (don’t put glue on the flaps).
7. Apply glue to the bottom of the squirrel’s flaps and glue the squirrel to the top of the box.
And it’s done! Is that not a lovely DIY gift box? Use it to give fall treats to friends or to keep little fall treasures.
