Oh, you are here? I didn’t hear you coming. Which is good, because it means you are working on your ninja stealth!
Today I’m gonna share something I’ve been working on in the quiet shadows of my design dojo. It’s a free printable ninja memory game, and I promise, if you love ninjas, you’ll love this one. This printable game has all the fun things from the ninja world: weapons like shuriken and nunchaku, Japanese icons like bamboo and cherry blossom, a red Chinese dragon, a mysterious scroll, and a bunch of ninja warriors ready for action.
In case you’re wondering, “Why a ninja-themed memory game?” Well, the answer lies in my absolute love for these stealthy figures. They’re cool, they’re swift, and they make the perfect protagonists in anime shows. So, the more ninja printables one can get, the better.
To be completely honest, I wasn’t always into ninjas. My interest kicked in a few years ago, when I visited the Igaryu Ninja Museum in Japan. In the museum I saw all the real-life ninja tools, outfits and weapons, and I even entered an actual ninja house with clever hideouts and tricks! That’s the house to have If you don’t like sudden guests. It was also cool to learn abut the lifestyle of ninjas, how they trained and worked, what techniques they used for sneaking and disappearing (those iconic smoke bombs? they’re real!) and how they spent their everyday lives.
Design like a ninja
Before we move on to the printable memory game, let me toot my own horn: all the graphics in this ninja printable game come from the new ninja clipart set in my Etsy shop. I’ve put my heart and soul into creating these designs, and I can’t wait for you to check them out. Click to see all of the images in the set:
While designing the clipart, I decided to take a creative detour from the traditional, dark-colored ninja outfits that you usually see. I realized that while the classic ninja clothes are more realistic, it can be quite limiting when it comes to color variety in designs. I mean, what if someone wants to incorporate a ninja theme into a vibrant and colorful project? So, with my clipart you can have the best of both worlds – the coolness of ninjas and the joy of vivid colors!

Did you know that ninjas were actually spies, not warriors, in reality? Their main job was to secretly gather information. Even though they were capable of fighting, they would always prefer to escape or hide. They had to be alert, precise, swift, and possess a keen memory. These are all skills that you’ll hone with this ninja memory game!
