Making the DIY notebooks is simple. All you have to do is grab the free printable template and follow the easy step-by-step instructions down below.
You will need:
- This Apple and Honey Notebooks Template
- White cardstock for printers
- Regular paper for printers
- Coloring tools
- Stapler
- Optional: Styrofoam block or packaging foam
Steps:
1. Print the notebooks’ covers on white card stock (page 1 of the template). Print the interior on regular paper (pages 2 and 3). If you want more of the interior in your notebook, print two or three copies of these pages.
2. Color the apple and honey shaped covers of your notebooks.
3. Cut out the covers and the interior pages.
4. Fold the covers and the interior pages in half, along the dashed line.
5. Align the interior pages inside the covers.
6. Lay the notebook open, cover facing up, and staple the spine. If your stapler doesn’t reach the spine of your notebooks, you can use this trick:
Place the notebook on Styrofoam block. Spread your stapler open and staple the notebook at the spine, letting the staples penetrate the Styrofoam beneath. Pull the notebook up and remove the Styrofoam. Bend the staples inward with the back of your stapler, or with another strong object.
And it’s done! You made your own adorable DIY notebooks!
This easy-peasy Rosh Hashanah craft is joining my collection of DIY notebooks and printable stationery (Yeah, I collect those, don’t judge). It’s also going straight to my Pinterest, Where I curate lots of printables, crafts and ideas. Would be great if you Pinned it too!
